Valid Driver's License: Acurrent, valid driver's license is required to operate any of our street-legal golf carts-no exceptions!
Age Requirement: Drivers must be 25 years or older to ensure safe and responsible operation.
Authorized Drivers Only: Only the person(s) listed on the rental agreement are permitted to drive the cart. No sharing with friends or family unless they're officially added.
Proof of current Auto Insurance: Insurance must be valid.

Operating one of our premium golf carts while under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any impairing substance is strictly prohibited and taken very seriously. This includes any amount that could affect your judgment, coordination, reaction time, or ability to drive safely.
Here's what you need to know:

Zero Tolerance for Impaired Driving : No operating the golf cart if you've consumed alcohol, recreational drugs, prescription medications that cause drowsiness, or anything else that impairs your ability to drive responsibly. North Carolina law treats golf carts like other vehicles in this regard, and we fully support that standard.
Immediate Consequences: Any violation of this policy will result in immediate termination of your rental with no refund, and we may involve local authorities if necessary to ensure everyone's safety.
Be Smart, Stay Safe: Plan ahead: designate a sober driver, enjoy drinks responsibly after your cart time, or let someone else handle the wheel. We want you to have fun the right way-sober, alert, and ready to soak up those Topsail Island vibes!

Care of the Cart

At Island Breeze Carts, we take pride in our premium fleet and appreciate you treating them like your own! Proper care keeps the carts running smoothly, safe, and ready for the next adventure. Please follow these guidelines during your rental on Topsail Island:

Stay on the Island : Do not remove or drive the cart off Topsail Island (including to the mainland or other areas). Our carts are registered and insured specifically for local use only.
Authorized Charging Only: Charge the cart using the provided charger and outlet at your rental property. Never use unauthorized outlets, third-party extension cords, household adapters, or any non-approved charging equipment—this could damage the battery system and void coverage.
Report Issues Immediately: If you notice any damage, mechanical problems, unusual noises, warning lights, low battery, or anything that doesn’t seem right, contact us right away (call/text the number provided in your rental agreement). Quick reporting helps us fix things fast and keeps your ride worry-free.
Keep It Clean & Tidy : Wipe down seats, floors, and surfaces after use (especially sand or spills) to prevent buildup. Avoid eating/drinking in a way that could cause major messes—easy cleanup makes for happy returns!
Park Smart: Park in designated spots, avoid blocking driveways/beach accesses, and use the parking brake every time. Secure the cart when not in use to protect it from weather or unauthorized use.
